Our Environment

Working with, and for, our surroundings

We take pride in the way Spains Hall Estate is run in a sustainable way, making the most of our environment whilst ensuring continuing employment. Almost all the agricultural land is managed as part of the Government’s Environmental Stewardship scheme and in addition the woodlands are part of an ongoing forestry management regime. Through this work we aim to enhance wildlife and biodiversity and protect our natural resources (such as clean water, clean air and the landscape).

We are always on the lookout for better ways of working with our greatest asset – the Environment – and ours is an approach that, we hope, will ensure our future generations are able to live on and enjoy it as much as we do.

Ecological Landscape Plan

We've got an ambitious plan for the estate, incorporating wildlife recovery, water stewardship, flood risk reduction, sustainable food production and climate adaptation and mitigation.
